Many of us play games from time to time but not for that long. There is an exception for a few other people, they like to play almost the entire day, they are considered to be hardcore gamer. There is a downside to playing games for a long time, that downside is death.
While playing for an hour or two isn't bad for your health, you can't play for that long without a break. Some breaks in-between your gaming session is ideal to keep up your overall health. Your going to need to take a 5 minute break from not looking at the TV with some stretching and walking around. Not only will taking breaks helps you concentrate once you get back into the game it also helps some the irritation you get from looking at the screen for too long. If you don't take breaks then your in for a treat, you are at risk of getting a stroke or a heart attack.
You may be wondering how is it possible to get a heart attack while gaming. The reason is due to the way our bodies are made. If you sit down for a prolonged long time, blood clots start to form on the lower half of your legs. The blood pressure isn't as strong as it would be as if you were standing up. Think of it as a water hose, bending the hose greatly decrease the water pressure, this is essentially what is happening in our blood when you sit down.
Once enough blood clots have formed on your legs, when you decide to finally stand up to move the clot will be released back into your bloodstream. When this clot gets stuck in one of your smaller arteries or heads to your heart, you can easily die. If the clot gets stuck in your smaller arteries it will stop the blood flow, if you don't go the the hospital and get that clot removed you will surely die. If the clot heads into your heart then you are surely to get a heart attack or a stroke.
The best remedies to prevent blood clots forming is to always move around and take breaks every once in a while like I stated earlier. Having a healthy diet also greatly reduces the chances of clots forming while improving your overall health. Try to move your feet while sitting to keep the circulation going by flexing or rotating your feet.
Hope you are now aware of this if you haven't before. Here's an example of how someone died from sitting too long because of gaming. (sorry can't embed the video)

Unlimited Detail Is Back With Graphics Tech That Blows Away Polygons Out Of The Water
Last year we saw a new company show up from no where showing the possibilities of video game graphics of the future. By getting rid of the polygons and using actual atoms to make up the graphics.
Well after 1 year of a no show, they have come back with a new identity Euclideon. I'm not sure if what they say/show is true or not, but this is just amazing how much they have progressed. I cant wait to see how much further this technology develops if its real.

US Supreme Court Overturns Ban On Violent Video Games In California
The supreme court has made it against the law to sell M rated games to minors, this is old news by now. What isn't old news is that the supreme court has passed a bill nullifying that law, minors in the California state can now buy M rated games. The reasons this bill passed is due to our 1st amendment rights, freedom of speech.
Hopefully more state legislators pass this bill so that minors can buy M rated games. Only reason I am for this movement is because I myself used to play M rated games when I was a child, I turned out to be fine. I was more mature for my age, I understood the difference between fantasy and reality. parents should also monitor what their child is doing, so that they themselves could grow to be better parents rather then, labels and rating babysit their children.
Here is the more simple 3D Taiwanese version of all this hoopla.

A Glimpse Of The PS Vita Facial Recognition Tech
The technology running behind the PS Vita is very impressive, we have already seen marker-less AR (augmented reality) which the 3DS and PSP need in order to achieve. Not only can the Vita do AR without markers but it can also do facial recognition. How far this tech will go, only time will tell.
From a recent article from Famitsu Sony has said they have developed the technology to use facial recognition on the Vita, for example you can chat with someone and instead of them seeing your face, you can chat with your avatar and your avatar will mimic everything you do. Such as blinking mouth moving head movement ect.
Here is an excerpt from Famitsu: (translation by google translate sorry if its a bit hard to read)
Source: Famitsu
This tech demo was just that, a tech demo. But they will not rule out the tech behind it. We may not get this avatar to avatar chat feature, but Sony will implement this tech into their games. Hope to see how much further this tech goes, and that the avatar to avatar stays in the final product or maybe an update. We have seen tech demos become full blown games, hopefully this becomes part of the Vita.
What are your thoughts on facial recognition?

Now recognize that technology is focused SCE. "In recognition technology to create new and surprising experience to the game is still an area of filtration伸Bishi" and Mr. Yoshikatsu Kanemaru. The concrete is illustrated in "facial recognition" and "markerless AR" it. About face recognition, there may have been a long time, and technically that is mature and is now also possible to recognize faces 10 years in increments. That emotion can be identified with considerable accuracy. As a measure to strengthen the face detection, and it has been able to detect stable in the face if they call the 3D glasses. In addition, PlayStation 3, in addition to the PSP, and that they are planning to offer versions of PS Vita. PS Vita respect, by enabling real-time recognition of a person entered the rear camera and front camera, so facial recognition and high affinity. Eyes and nose, and it can also be detected in units such as the mouth parts. At the venue, as an example of face recognition in PS Vita, was presented a technical demo to do a video chat with each other avatars. Here is recognized by the camera reflected in the avatar of the player's face PS Vita, Unadzui or those that are detected in real time or shake his head. Incidentally, for the opening and closing the mouth, face recognition is currently取Ri切Renai complete, he said that support the movement of the mouth to detect the sound while a voice out. Demonstration of technical terms here, there is no plan for commercialization. However, "For facial recognition, I want to append some of the entertaining" (Kanemaru) they have said.

LulzSec Strikes Again Hacks Bethesda's Site
LulzSec has striked again by trying to hack into Bethesda's site, trying to steal user's emails, passwords and addresses. But luckily Bethesda caught it right away so he wasn't able to get the information.
This is what they had to say:

This is what they had to say:
"Over the past weekend, a hacker group attempted an unlawful intrusion of our websites to gain access to data. We believe we have taken appropriate action to protect our data against these attacks. While no personal financial information or credit card data was obtained, the hackers may have gained access to some user names, email addresses, and/or passwords. As a precaution, we recommend that all our fans immediately change passwords on all our sites — including our community forums and the statistics site we maintain for Brink players. If your username/email address/password is similar to what you use on other sites, we recommend changing the password at those sites as well. As we don’t know what further plans the hackers may have, we suggest that you keep an eye out for suspicious emails and account activity. We regret any inconvenience that these attacks on us cause for you. These attacks will be evaluated to determine if there are any additional protections we might take that would be prudent."
