Duke Nukem Forever Impressions So Far

My review of DNF (Duke Nukem Forever) will be coming up by the end of the week once I beat the game. But for now I'll just give you a little insight on how I feel about the game and how journalists are reviewing this game.

Im about half way or a little over half way done with DNF. Once I'm done I shall give you my thoughts on the game, and I wont just put a random 1-10 score, no, the score is for fun factor (I'll explain it better once my review comes out). So like I was saying so far the game can be a bit hard from time to time and its a decent game in and of itself. DNF has a good amount of funny moments and I really enjoy those parts of the game, what I really don't like is how the game feels. I'll explain myself better on the pro's and con's of the game later in my future review of DNF.

As for the journalists out there who have been rating this game from low scores to 10/10, all I have to say is SCREW YOU. Reviewers this generation haven't done justice to games or to the gamers. Only thing the journalists have been doing is just giving out pure hate or pure praise towards this game. This isn't the first time I have noticed this. Since the XBOX 360 has launched I noticed this oh so well. Reviewers are meant to give AAA (big franchises) great scores no matter how bad/good the game is. Or the publisher bribes them with money or free gifts. Thus swaying them from the actual game score itself. Not only that, they also like to talk smack about a game just so they can get hits (people visit their site) thus giving them more revenue to their site. I just feel that DNF finally shined the light and gamers are starting to really see how the gaming media truly is, and how it functions.

I'll make a full fledged article on my views on the journalists, I noticed I talked more about that given topic rather then DNF, but for you guys, the readers. Are you planning on picking up DNF? For those that already have DNF how do you like the game so far?

  1. I read a few people saying that this game sucked. I'm glad it wasn't true.

  4. I have not tried it yet, but it sounds like another big game from a big company - You build up a lot of expectations just to get very disappointed, and they still make a load of money.

  7. I think all these "reviews" are just paid. How can you do a bad review in your website/magazine if there is a big annoucement of the game/company in the next page?
I want to play. Personally, I guess it's a good game for we that raised in 90's. But 90's things isn't so cool anymore.

  9. I stopped listening to "game reviewers" a while ago. hard to judge the industry when they support you. no freedom to say the truth.
